| MT-250X
- GSM Data Protocol Analyser |
| |
| The MT-250X GSM Data Protocol Analyser
is designed for testing the A- and Abis interfaces, as well as the
MSC/IWU interface, for systems including Phase 2 (HSCSD). It has many
features that makes it an effective time saving test tool for testing
data, fax and speech and relevant ISDN protocols. |

Features |
| The standard system comprises an
industrial PC running the Linux operating system and X-Window system,
one interface card supporting dual channel monitoring and a basic
software package. An additional interface card may be added for dual
mode operation. |

Protocol support
A Interface Protocol support: Analysis of ITU-T V110 Phase
1,,2+ transparent and non-transparent services (GSM 04.21) RLP
( GSM 04.2 ) and L2R COP/BOP ( GSM 07.02/0.3 ) include Phase 2+
HSCSD with Multilink RLP Functions version 0,1, and 2 and ATRAU
(GSM08.20) Transparent and Non Transparent. |
| |
|
| |
Abis Interface Protocol support: Full
Rate TRAU and Enhanced Full Rate TRAU ( GSM 08.60 ) and Half Rate
TRAU. E-TRAU are also supported ( GSM 08.60 ) in Transparent and
Nontransparent and GSM signalling. |
| |
All protocols in A Interface can be viewed in
Abis interface. |
| |
- Fax transmission over V.110 and A-TRAU,
speeds up to14.4 kbps.GSM 03.45, T.30 and T.4 analysis and fax picture. |
| |
- UMTS E-Interface ( GSM 29.007): Phase
2+ are supported up to 56kbps for the 08.20 Tr./Non Transparent. |
| |
- PPP (IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP) means PPP
over GSM (V.110, A-TRAU, E-TRAU) and PPP over ITU-T |
| |
- SS7: Auto-configuration, Finding timeslot,
calling no and decoding of MTP2,MTP3,SCCP, BSSMAP, DTAP, SMS etc |
| |
ISDN PRI D-Channel Analysis. |
| |
|
| Speech Testing: Full Rate,
Enhanced Full Rate and Half Rate Speech codec (06.10). This enables
the test and verification of both the quality of the speech and the
delay incurred by the switch(es) measured on the A- and Abis interfaces.
Both A-law and µ-law are supported in addition to raw 8-bit
unsigned PCM and listen to speech. |
| |
|
| TFO and AMR: SM 08.62 TFO,
GSM 08.60 Trancoder and rate adapters for EFR,FR, GSM 08.61 Transcoder
and Rate adapter for HR, GSM 06.10 FR Codec, GSM 06.20 HR Codec,
GSM 06.60 EFR Codec. |

SS7
Our SS7 functionality has been developed to assist the user in configuring
the MT-250X for the reception of data/fax and speech calls. The automatic
traffic channel configuration is based on SS7 signalling on the A-interface
in the GSM network. One interface card is connected to the line(s)
carrying the data traffic. A second card continuously monitors the
signalling and enables the unit to automatically set the traffic channel
timeslot and protocol when the desired call is set up. A number of
trigger options are available, including called or calling party phone
number. |
| |
|
| |
Triggers and filters
This feature allows the user to start file captures, monitoring sessions
or initiate simulation scripts execution using a trigger. The different
trigger types available are: |
| |
|
| |
Timeslot monitor
The timeslot monitoring option allows continuous analysis of the type of
traffic present on the different timeslots on the line at any given
time. It does not rely on any external signalling information and distinguishes
between the various data protocols (e.g. TRAU, GSM V110-(Non)Transparent,
ISDN V110 ..) in addition to the data rates. Furthermore, the received
information may be used to automatically set the basic protocol level,
switch to the timeslot where traffic is present and commence monitoring
and capture to file. |
| |
|
| |
Quality of Service verification
Test reports can be generated automatically by the system to give a general
health check of the equipment being tested. The test report will contain
the number of received packets, CRC errors, etc.. |
| |
|
| |
Remote operation
The MT-250X can be remotely operated from a PC or UNIX workstation |
| |
|
| Its
small size makes it THE portable test solution. |
